AI × IP game creation — build a playable mini-game with NOXCAT's official IP assets.

The Brief

Use AI tools together with NOXCAT's official IP assets to create a playable mini-game — runnable directly in a web browser, completable in under 3 minutes per round. Games that can be played on a mobile browser with touch controls earn bonus points. NOXCAT provides an official character asset pack and usage guidelines.

Who can participate? 誰可以參加？
Anyone interested in building with AI is welcome. Whether you're a developer, designer, founder, creator, student, researcher, or simply AI-curious, BUILDMODE is open to builders of all backgrounds and experience levels. Beginners are encouraged to apply.
任何對 AI 創作與開發有興趣的人都歡迎參加。無論是開發者、設計師、創業者、創作者、學生、研究人員或初學者，都可以加入。
Do I need to know how to code? 我需要會寫程式嗎？
No. Great teams are often multidisciplinary, combining developers with designers, product managers, researchers, creators, marketers, and domain experts.
不需要。我們鼓勵開發、設計、產品、研究與創意等不同背景的人組成跨領域團隊。
Can I participate without a team? 沒有團隊也可以參加嗎？
Yes. We'll host team formation sessions before and during the hackathon to help you meet collaborators.

How many people can be on a team? 每隊可以有幾個人？
Teams may consist of 1–5 members.

How are projects judged? 專案如何評選？
Projects are evaluated based on innovation, technical execution, product vision, real-world impact, user experience, and effective use of sponsor technologies where applicable.

What can I win? 可以獲得哪些獎勵？
Sponsors will provide AI credits, cloud compute credits, software licenses, challenge rewards, mentorship opportunities, partner benefits, and additional prizes. More rewards will be announced as sponsors are confirmed.

Do I need to use sponsor technology? 一定要使用贊助商的技術嗎？
Only if you're entering a sponsor-specific challenge or bounty. Otherwise, you're free to use the tools and technologies that best fit your project.

Is the hackathon beginner-friendly? 這個黑客松適合初學者嗎？
Absolutely. Whether you're building your first AI project or your tenth startup, BUILDMODE is designed to help you learn, experiment, and collaborate alongside experienced builders and mentors.

If I don't receive a Builder Pass, can I still participate? 沒有獲得 Builder Pass 還可以參加嗎？
Yes. Complementary Builder Passes are limited and prioritized for active builders, such as those with GitHub projects, previous hackathon experience, or demonstrated AI development experience. However, anyone with a valid FUTUREMODE pass is welcome to participate in the hackathon.

If I can't be there all 3 days, does that affect my eligibility? 如果我無法全程參加三天，會影響參賽資格嗎？
Our current plan requires check-in on all three days, but the venue is fully open and participants are free to come and go during the event. You're welcome to attend any sessions or activities you're interested in. The daily check-in is mainly to prevent someone from showing up only on day one to claim the ChatGPT Pro benefit and then no-showing for the rest of the event.
目前規劃三天皆須完成報到，但活動場地全程開放，參賽者可自由進出，歡迎參加任何你有興趣的議程與活動。每日報到主要是為了避免有人只在第一天出席領取 ChatGPT Pro 福利，之後便缺席。
Are there any limitations on datasets or AI tools? 對資料集或 AI 工具有任何限制嗎？
There are essentially no specific restrictions. You're welcome to use datasets or other resources available online, but please pay close attention to their usage rights and licenses. Some datasets or platforms may not allow commercial use or may have other restrictions, so participants are responsible for checking and following the terms set by the data owner or provider.
基本上沒有特別的限制。歡迎使用網路上可取得的資料集或其他資源，但請務必留意其使用權限與授權條款。部分資料集或平台可能不允許商業使用或有其他限制，參賽者須自行確認並遵守資料擁有者或提供者所訂定的條款。
